am in chicago..reached charleston on 8th on courage.like i said i have benn after my dealer and on speaking ot him today was not very happy given the info he gave me.but then he might be wrong..and the cars might be shipped earlier..where r u located..if u get any info do let me know and i will do the same..he said he had just checked on this and what the computer came up with was to be shipped on 20th

 

I'm in Dallas, and when I last spoke to my CA, he was somewhat vague and projected middle of next week for me to pick up at the dealership.

 

another buyer at bimmerfest has said the same thimg..initially was told card is at south carolina vpc ready for transport but now told that new eta is 4/23(2008 535..prob..for epa) so most likely cars will be realesed end of coming week

 

Imagine the number of cars that are stacking up at the VPC's.

 

Chicago area dealer, spoke to him this AM. he checked on his computer came up with the shipping date is 20th(Fri) and arrival at dealer is 23rd(Mon), the cars might be shipped earlier he said, possibility.

 

Stopped by Classic on a whim this morning and they had two new 550i SP's, one non-SP that looked like they had just come off the truck...

Went to see my potential car today, 550 LCI sport in carbon black on black. The dealer delivered one other so far, in carbon black as well. If all goes well with final pricing I will pick the middle of this coming week. The NY auto show lighting did nothing for the color, carbon black looks fantastic. The blue is definitely an edge, not a dominance or overwhelming. I also would go with black or nat brown interior, I think the cream is to light, IMO. Turned the ignition, sounds pretty nice...nothing to compare to though except my 530 and.....I will update ASAP, good luck to all. Is anyone getting the rim/wheel protection plan?

what do u make out of this..this is from california air resources board..from what i understand it is certified a few models.but does it mean all the states have to certify for the cars to be released or one will do??

 

Anyone (528/535) heard anything yet? I picked up my loaner today and was told that our cars were supposed to be approved/released on Friday (April 13) and moved out of VPCs today. No confirmation as to whether or not mine was moved or is even scheduled to be moved.

I did get the loaner though, which makes me think my dealer thinks my car will be here soon. '07 328xi--pretty nice, good power, great brakes, and handled the terrible weather here nicely. Feels less 'solid' than my previous E39, and of course felt much smaller. Still a performer at heart though.
