We dont have the panic alarm in the UK, ppl would complain about the noise , thats why are alarms dont chirp when locking/unlocking and the alarm siren is on a timer, it shuts off after so many seconds then sounds again after a brief pause.

Haha. The Brits are very proper and reserved, I still miss that. Us lot here are real colorful and rowdy before attention is gotten.

Im tellng you, if some one set the panic alarm because they were being attack, some one would shout at the them to turn the bloody noise off!

It's true, in fact on the UK cars the initial alarm sound is a polite cough followed by a harrumph
