So then we just got ours into the dealership late last week, I haven't had a chance to drive it yet, but I took some pics and started her up, sounds like a 335i of course. I'm really anxious to see how it's going to drive and perform, will try to do that later on today or maybe tomorrow. The updated lighting system looks awesome, but just not too crazy about the interior, especially the new e-shift shifter. Will report back here once I get some time behind the wheel.

I agree the new shifter and especially the big lump of aluminium around the base sucks. Hopefully there will be some aftermarket or factory option to replace it as it really looks bad, a major down grade from the leather boot on the 07
Okay so I just got to drive our 535i with sport, premium and a few other gadgets..... to quickly sum it up, I didn't like it that much. Noticable turbo lag on the freeway and it's just blah. The 335i coupe/sedans are much more faster and fun to drive but whatever. It's comfortable, luxurious and still pretty quick on the streets. I can't get used to the feeling of the new e-shifter, altho it did shift a notch quicker than our regular steps, but still I don't like grabbing the thing, haha. Cabin is very quiet, ride is smooth just like it's suppose to be, but sometimes if you take off in 2nd gear, I noticed a lag and then all of a sudden the power will kick in and pull, kinda almost unpredictable.
Freeway ride is fine and comfy, but I had to bring it down to 4th gear to get any good pulls. I have to compare it to my 550i because I do that with every car I get into. The 545/550 are just so much better with power delivery and smoothness, instant power almost every gear and power band. The 535i has to be in a certain sweet spot to get any thrill out of, am I grilling on the car too hard?

I think I'm going to be ordering either a 335 or a 535 in the next couple of months.

The 535i isn't bad bad bad, it's just not my cup of tea, I like power and torque so it's going to be hard to get me back in the force induction game. But I really like the 335i coupes tho, those little bastards are fast, on the streets and freeway.
