Oh yes, I used my car as a Motel for the ladies very frequently and it seemed quite natural.
I had a friend that had his windshield washer fluid pump hose disconnected from the sprayers and rerouted into the passenger compartment and he filled the resevoir with wine. Nice touch!

I still have my timing light somewhere... can't remember when I used it last!! I grew up working on our '79 Accord with my dad, and my first car was a 1990 Isuzu Trooper. We could fix ANYTHING on those cars! I love my 530, but I sure do miss the days when I could fix a car without needing a $15000 computer and software package.

Ah yes, the "good old days" were good, but back then we drove cars like this bad boy... This is similar to the vanagon I learned to drive stick with. No power steering, brakes...no power NOTHING Yeah they were good, but no interest in going back

Anyway, Happy New year!
ha ha

cheers, thanks for the post. I was just joking with my neighbout at this! I threatened to get my spark plug gap tool (which I still have in one of my toolboxes for some strange reason), and give his car a tune-up....

I look under the hood of my 550 and just shake my head....if it ever does not start...I am just calling a tow truck to take it to the dealer. I wouldn't even attempt new spark plugs on this. My old 325, on the other hand, was fun to work on!

I remember my Dad working on his cars back in the day. He actually kept a notebook so that he could put the car's engine back together again.

He must have overhauled his car's engine 3 or 4 times!

HAHAHA... Nothing quite like sitting on a county road setting the timing and then doing a few 1/4 runs to see the results. The farmer working in the field must have gotten a kick out of that.
