I just bought my 2006 530i last week with 101K. It's a huge upgrade from my 2000 330i (195K). I felt sad to see it go. No major problems on it since I bought it with 75K. Hopefully I have the same luck with this one!

I do not own an E60 but we work on them. I personally have an 1997 E31 8 series with the M62B44 engine that currently has 342,084 miles!

Don't take offense but do you look back at this post now and cringe? I just read this thread for the first time and did when I saw this!

aGuiLa -- that was meant specifically for umichchris -- if you didn't notice ... his car was totaled a few days after he wrote that post about hoping for many more miles from his car.

154,000 thus far. Had some issues during the 5 years I've own it, including one that cropped up a few days ago - Alternator malfunction. Sourcing one out now, but gonna remove, inspect, and clean the existing unit first. I have a love/hate relationship with this car. Seriously contemplating an F10, or (gulp) convincing my new wife I need that silver 2010 E63 I saw for $74k at MBZ of Encino.

I just spoke with this guy today with the 04 525 and man I was shocked he has been rolling in that car he has over 211K on it now. he did say he had to just replace the battery when it started getting a bunch of bogus errors on the I-Drive.
