My 530i 04 was only 6 weeks old when the KAS ans DME unit went. It was towed by flat bed tow truck to the dealer. We were on vacation in NJ at the time. It took the dealer 8 days to fix the problem. The KAS module took 2 days to get and 2 days to program when the DME module was not responding they had to order a new one.
Lucky for BMW when I got home the JD Powers survey was in my mail box.
