My Ride: 04 525i - Basic Options - 18" Polished Breyton Flame - Eibachs/H&Rs to follow shortly!
Hello everyone!
I'm a proud new (used) owner of a 04 525. Love the fuel economy, smoothness, sportiness, and pretty much everything! I came from an A8 so I've been missing a little of the power, but the fuel economy was my main decision factor with this car.
Soooo I went to the USGP in Indy this past weekend. One of my friends had a cooler in the trunk, that was leaky, which I didnt know. In the car corral, the cooler must have dumped all of the melted ice water into the spare tire well! Well....the doohickey in the spare well was submerged under water and I-drive went haywire and the car went crazy and now I don't have I drive at all! What is the white box with the board inside it and if warranty doesnt cover it, how much is it to get?
Thanks in advance.
Mark

Yes the USGP was a great weekend. Sucks that Mercedes finshed 1-2 and the best BMW could muster was 8th and 18th. Even Renault fared better than BMW.
Regarding the box I have also wondered for wanting a full size spare but it wont fit with the modules there. Link above clearly states what they are.

Bummer for me that I read this post -- never expecting it to show me the results of the race...
Here's what it could have looked like:

Spoiler
Obviously, it's no big deal (it would've been a big deal to me a few years back when I pretty much lived and breathed racing.) Maybe this will help spread the word about the spoiler tags for future posting by everyone...

Not that its a big concern to you folks about the status...but everything under warranty....and it was a great customer service experience......MUCH better than Audi.
