Is the ugly black tranny filler panel gone on the LCI?

Look at the third pic down in this post. The ugly black filler panel at the shifter is gone. In its place is a filler panel that sits flush and matches the adjacent wood. This is much better. http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=41601&st=0
Hopefully this is the new standard on all new LCI 5 ers. I hope that my car gets this. It is just going into production.

Yes, but now the shifter is uglier than ever. The sports shifter looks better but clearly the best looking center console is on a manual tranny.

Well it's still hard to tell what's going on here but for what it's worth, my LHD sport automatic car came with the black filler panel instead of one that's wood.

I'm hoping that this is one of those things the BMW eventually makes a wood piece for that can be added later (like they did on the pre-LCI cars below the in-dash CD slots or the rear console wood trim...
