I have a simple question but finding the answer seems to be like looking for a needle in a haystack
On the E60, 525D, 2005 model, Where is the connector which is used to connect to OPS dignostic head? I mean the MOST BUS fiber optic connector. I am soon going to tear the car apart....

Just above the handle to pop the hood,it has a plastic cover over it. Hope this is the right one!

None of this. The one next to the hood open lever is the OBD2 its not fiber optic

It's behind a plastic cover in the glove box above the hand torch.

Either I am going blind or do not know what. I even unscrewed the glove compartment top screws to see if there is anything but I can`t figure out anything damn it. If you are from UK, then its a RHD like us in Malta, so it should be nearer to the center of the vehicle. The torch in the glove compartment has nothing on top of it. Have you personally ever seen and touched it?

Yes mate, the fibre optic port is behind a plastic cover in the glove box. I saw mine the other day when i had the glove box out, also i have spoken about this same port to a BMW tech so i know it`s there.
Please don`t shout in your post titles, we can see your fustrated but shouting and getting upset wont get you help any faster.

Thanks BLOOD
This car has brought me nothing bust misery..... Second 5 series with a problem after my E39
which I was forced to exchange.... I love these cars but I have had enough of the money I am spending. Had a problem with oil level coming up. I destroyed an engine after oil went up, then got a salvage one with just 4k miles in it and I am again removing oil at the rate of 1 liter per 1000 miles. I got this equipment so that I can follow it up myself as I am pissed of from the stealership. I alrady paid over 6,500 euro for this mishap..... and now buying diagnostic stuff... If I solve this, I am looking at two other BMW`s. if not, its curtains!

I found the connector also, but my Most Cable (came with the OPS) does not fit.
You can see that the two optical "eyes" on the E60 connector are more separated in comparison with the cable.

A few scenarios are possible:
I got the wrong cable?
I got the wrong connector on my E60?

Can anyone comment on this?
