I know that sometimes my comments are really no help, but in this case - that is really true. When I saw something about jumping an e60 I pictured the Dukes of Hazzard
Then I opened the thread to find out that it was about jump starting a car.

Now I may be of liitle help but I have questions about jump staring a car also. When I was younger could never get a car with a functioning battery - so I got good at jump starts - always did it from the battery. Then I got relaible cars (I drove GM's so I will use that term lightly) - and have only had a dead battery twice in 10 years and tried to jump people (jump start people's cars) on multiple occassions and have never been able to - but I have fried many a fuse inside. Is this from the power surg? The car you are jumping from should be running first? I believe I have tried this and didn't work either.

BTW - It's OK if no one responds to my sense of humor. I often find that I am the only person who thinks i'm funny.
