Wheel Upgrade Question
Hi there-
I've got an 05 e60 which needs a new set of shoes/tires. I'm thinking of upgrading my wheels/tires so was looking at getting 166's or 124's with OEM tires (hopefully they'll have lo-miles). Will I have an issue by going to OEM 166 rims/tires (from an M5) on my 525? Other than being called a poseur of course
Also, with the OEM tires off the 124's or 166's. What sort of tire should I expect? I was able to get 48K miles on my OEM Conti's (on a 138 rim) and possibly more. I just got an unrepairable flat so I'm thinking of upgrading wheels.

either of the wheels would fit fine. for the 166s, you wont be able to use the tires off of an M5. recommended tire sizes for that wheel on a non-M e60 are 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear.

you're saying I need to get narrower tires then? what happens if i use the stock tires? I'm assuming they'll rub right? sorry for the newb questions....
