Wheel upgrade and alignment
#1
I upgraded from stock wheels to a 19" aftermarket, same diamiter bt just bigger wheels. Anyways, I think I need an alignment now but nobody will do it and tells me to go to the dealer. The dealer is backed up for a month and I cant get in. Should I even worry about it? The car doesnt pull at all but the wheel is about 1* to the right, almost nothing but you know how we notice every little thing. Is it worth the $$$ to do or should I just leave it and it will not really make a difference. Thanks

you wouldnt usually need an alignment after switching wheels to a bigger diameter. you would only need an alignment really if you lowered the car or if its pulling.

Usually no aligment is needed.
But if your wheels and tyres are not OEM and not in E60 specs, maybe you better check them out.
Sorry to say but aftermarket wheels with wrong ET's and tyre sizes are not the best buy in the long run.
Hope you bought quality.
Do you have pics and specs on them?

So When you upgrade to bigger wheels and tires, you just install them urself w/o need for tireshop?
But, what you guys do about Spare wheel in Trunk? Stock wheel are 17". so spare is 17" right.. do we have to buy new spare 19" too?

The diameter of the spare is the same as OEM 16" 225/55 to 19" 275/30 tyres.

I don't see why you need an alignment? But you should buy spare, since our car is staggered, I bought six rims, 3 front and 3 rear so if one goes out, you can change right away with the same rims. Why change back stock rims have all 19" or if not all 20".
