Yes you do, RTFM!!! They are on the center cash area. I will say that I have had my '08 (US MY) since early November and have yet to program a short cut button...
No he doesn't. That's an LCI feature.

I love everything mentioned above, but my favorite is the ------------ "iDrive", with auto charge memory key come in 2nd.

I know this could be controversial, but I like the RFTs (got me home nice & dry on two occasion late at night when I had flat tyre in a cold and wet night, without the need to stop to change the wheel).

Hi All

Love the active steering (can't go back now ever) and sport sterring wheel most of all (makes all other cars instantly dreadful!) + angle eye lights, V8, Cell Phone integration....in fact I should stop visiting this site..my wife is starting to look at me funny...I keep telling her its much better than alcohol and gambling...

Anyhow to put some balance you can have too much of good thing I would swap the comfot seats for the perfect recaro style ones I had my old 1989 M5 though....twenty zillion combinations are few too many, not a moan just a comment.

Cheers

+1 my wife is starting to ask questions also, every bmw owner should send road and track and all of the other critics letters about how much we love our idrives maybe we can change the stupid stereotype about it!!!!!!!!! its a given that every review i read someone is bashing the idrive, why?!

Because iDrive can be a pain. I still haven't mastered the confounded ventilation system. I'm going to be miserable when the Spring arrives.
