I don't like the cruise control stalk/stick just under the signal indicator stalk (as I end up indicating everytime I start to set the cruise speed on motorway/freeway  ). I used to prefer the buttons on the steering wheel on my old E39.

How about the placement of the contol for the heated steering wheel. Ever catch yourself turning the steering wheel to see whether it's turned on . . .

Putting the cupholders right in front of vents. If you put a cold can of soda in the cupholder during the winter, it will be warm in about 2 minutes and boiling in 15. I have to remember to manually dial off those vents whenever I put something cold in there.

Also, maybe it is just me and my weird sitting position, but I can never see my turn signal lights on the dash. They are blocked by the steering wheel. I have tried to move around my seat and the steering wheel, but it doesn't seem to help.

The dashboard design which is not concentrated on the driver. I understand that BMW learnt from this mistake and that the F10/F11 will again have a drivers oriented dashboard, which is nice. But it doesn't help the E60...

hehe - done that too many times.

Small center consol, and temp not being digital is retarded. Also, why is truck release close to pedals???

I personally hate the inside pillar between the doors, its to wide and square. When its nice weather here (in NY) I love to have my window wide open and I just feel like Ace Ventura, the wind just hits you straignt in the face and it messes up hair style on your way to a wedding.

no storage in the front.

indicator light for the auto wipers, just like the heated wheel led, they are difficult at best to see.

If you open the rear window just an inch or so, you'll dramatically reduce the amount of wind in your face...
