Tried a couple of starts but even without power braking the tires just light up. Going to need to finese the pedal
On the sport options there should be a limited slip rear, I would pay another few hundred dollars more.

Flamers are coming! I posted this topic link on another topic, about racing, that got the attention of some flamers.

Anyway spoke to the 550 guy and my Thursday race got rescheduled until next Monday/Tuesday. More time to practice burnouts

You were pretty brave posting the link in that other thread - asEBMCS03 pointed out it's got the lurkers out in force!

The SMG was a true manual and Acceleration Assist brought the revs up to about 4000 RPM and then dumped the clutch. The Sport Auto is really an auto with a torque converter and has no clutch that can do the same thing as the manuals can do, thus no Acceleration Assist.
Acceleration Assist produced a lot of wheel spin and smoke and did not seem to actually produce the best acceleration, did not run any comparative test though.

my brother owns a 335i coupe, I could consistenly beat him on a 0-90mph run in my 545i w/manual trans. obviously i had advantage with the clutched launch, but regardless of how good my launch was he would always start creeping up on me once i shifted into 3rd which lead me to believe that in a longer distance run, the 335i would surpass my v8, but then again given an even longer run I think I would be able to get around him. after doing some research on the best way to launch his auto 335i we came across a post that suggested leaving the trans in D, traction ON and power braking the revs up to 1500-2000. While I havent rematached the 335 with this new launch technique I'm convinced this is the best way to launch as the tires chirp during 1st gear pull but dont spin which is obviously optimal. have seen him since smoke a few sti's with this approach.

give it a try with your 535

Thats almost how I launch my IS350... Put it in Power mode... Traction control off though... Left foot on brake... right foot on gas... power brake to about 1200 and then quickly off the brake and quickly ease into the gas, not stomp... but quick ease and I've gotten 0 to 60 in 5.0 sec flat before... and 5.1x before... not bad. I'm sure if the weather was cooler I can break the 5 sec barrier... This leaves me no tire spins and no chirp... just a little scruff of the tires against the pavement... near traction loss...
