Hey guys
my car has been to service for same i-drive problem 4 times already and still they could not fix the problem and i brought my car today for the 5th time and they found out that i splice to my factory speaker (rear amp connection) now they said that my i-drive problem will be not covered by warranty bcoz of modification. I know this i-drive problem happen to everybody and not only me and i know the splice that i made thru the rear amp connection does not interfere with the i-drive system. so now im compiling a list of i-drive problem . oh btw the i-drive gremlins only come out when interior of the car is hot other than that gremlin hibernate

here's my i-drive problem
i-drive knob don't work (when interior is hot)
wiper turns on and off (summer time)
rpm & mph flactuate
electonic failure
transmission failure
dynamic drive fault
abs fault

whats your i-drive problem

sorry to hear that :'(. but so far my idrive doesn't give me any problem (knock on wood).

wow...those are some crazy problems...the only problems i have had so far is a squeaky driver seat due to the subwoofer cover, and a faulty auto up mechanism in the passenger window. so far sooo good (touch wood)

that's some extensive list of problems. wow. my rest button sometimes doesnt work. i dunno if that is an idrive problem.

I don't think it is an I drive problem , but i have a restraints system fault... taking it in tomorrow to get it fixed.

can i upgrade to linux or mac? hehehe but anyway im thinking of getting rid of this car but i hate to let it go ..

Except for the knob not working and possibly the electronic failure, those problems are not i-drive related. The car does not have an integrated system controlled by a central i-drive computer.

The problems I have had so far are passenger restraint fault (fixed) and the driver's window sometimes does not close properly. I am afraid to take the car in for a software upgrade in case this actually causes problems that others have experienced.

im thinking m3 but wifey said no coz we got 2 kids .. thats why i hate to let go of my car coz i like the way it looks and drive and benz e320 its just not my type
