I am averaging 17 right now (that's using M mode 4/7 days). I usually get 19.7 when I leave it in D and driving normally. And 22 when using cruise control going about 55-60.
This is with 93 octane. I am very happy with it though. My friend's Infinity G37S has the same HP as the 545i, weighs about the same, has a V6, and only gets 14.7mpg.
