I know "laet" started by asking about a couple of combos both with black leather. However, I have Dakota Gray with Anthracite and think it is a great combination.

I don't know if I have any pics that will do it justice, but will be willing to post a couple if there is interest.

The gray in the Anthracite against the lighter gray interior really stands out.

The Poplar is too light. I like my Anthricite, although would have preferred brushed aluminum if it was available in US.

I find it really odd that the M-Sport package is offered in Canada but not the US. We can get the body kit but that's about all.
Once I read on newspaper that Canada, although has only 1/5 the population of the US, is the 6th largest market worldwide for BMW M cars. It seems that we like anything M from BMW more than many other countries on a per capita basis. May be that's why BMW market more M stuff here, including M-Sport packages, than in the US.

Here is how the aluminum cube trim looks like. It's available only for cars with M-sport package.

P.S. This is not my car. It's a 550i in the showroom.

Poplar seemed too old fashioned for me. I went with Anthracite

That would be just a matter of personal perference. Frankly I found that trim more fitting than brown wood in a car with black leather and sport package. To me brown wood belongs in a luxary cruiser.

Brushed aluminum would have been nice but it only comes with the M5. It's also very prone to scratches.

My next favourite is the carbon fibre look black leather trim in the M-Roadster!
