WHAT is up with the f10 rear view camara

Was at dealer geting oil change and had an hour to wander around and look at all the new 5's, 7's and Z.
First off for the few posts I have seen that say the f10 is not that much bigger than the e60--that is just utterly not true-the f10 is friggin HUGE and the e60 beside it looked like a dwarf-it made the e60 appear so small and nimble-it was hilarious-may be only a coup;e inches longer and wider but that equates to a lot of extra room if you consider that space is filled with body.
When i drove one the other week I didnt really see a side by side comparison of the two but this was the first time I realized the size.
Anyway the one I saw at the dealer had a backup camara but it was litterally hanging off the little ledge near the lisc plate, where the handle is to pop the trunk-it honestly looked like it was just dangling there protruding out (and it was normal, had the bracket and all--)is this what all the backup cams are like?? not concealed at all--someone is bound to just rip it off for fun
