What is that thing on the middle of the ceiling where the rear overhead interior lights are? A vent? A speaker?

Motion sensor for the alarm and I believe there is a air filter in there as well

I know there is a motion sensor for the alarm, not sure about having an air filter as well. The cabin filters are located in the engine bay right below the wipers.

my cars doesnt have and alarm... can anyone post a pic what the alarm sensor looks like. (if that part does look diffrent from no-alarm cars)
