new owner to a 04 545i sport package 6spd manual
Wat it dew people. To start off luved the car after the first test drive lol even tho i never owned a manual lol and the v8 and the power vedy nice lol but i have driven a manual. And i think I. Got a smokin deal on it with 84,000 miles on it from a dealer that sell used beamers benzs and range rovers... So basically I got the idrive under control but under the hood im still alil rusty but I know where all the fluids go. But ive recently had the car in the shop like 3 times in like the 4 mnth period ive had it so i took it back to the dealer and they have been takin care of me cuz like a mnth had past by. The first time i took it in the check engine light came on sumthing about the coolin system so they saId it could b the thermostat so they took care of that then I noticed wen its parked and its on for awhile it would throw out like white'ish blue'ish smoke out the tail pipe wen I step on the gas. When im at the light playing with the clutch when Its about to turn green sumtimes it would b a cloud of smoke but sumtimes just abit of smoke. So I called em and told them about the situation and they said it was probably the pressure release valves which are two one in each head I believe which are just a cap and a spring. They showed me the new ones but I didn't c the old ones so they did that. After they did that they said just run it for awhile so all the gunk could clear out so I did but still the same thing so I told em again that it still doin the same thing so now they say it could b the VALVE GUIDE SEALS so I left it at thier shope and they had it for a week and I didn't pay anything since it had been doin that since I got it. But I have no idea if they did wrk on it cuz it still does the same thing..... Can sumone plz help me out and tell me wat could b wrong wit my car cuz its pretty embarrassing seein smoke everytime im takin off from a stop light.

If the CCV's were changed as you said, unfortunately it probably is your valve stem seals its a pretty costly and tedious job. If you do have it done might as well change the mid pipe that runs thru the middle of the engine as you can develop a "weep hole leak" pretty soon. GL

Yes samething here's my thread on it. I had a lot of other things done too which included, head gaskets, mid pipe, some other coolant hoses and motor mounts

Well my mechanic had extra N62 heads laying around the shop. But turn around time took about 1 week to have them sent to a machine shop and another day or 2 to have all of the labor done.
