I really enjoy my E60 but there are a few things that would make it just better; these are the things that annoy me;
1) SMG gearbox always starts in manual mode; why not start in the same mode where you left in on your last drive ?
2) I-drive monitor can be switched "off"; if you do so the LCD screen still seems to be lit. Why not switch it of completely ?
I know these are just small things and they actually indicate how good the car is. Still I'd like to know what you think should improve on the E60.
Thanks, Midget

1) More refinement to I-Drive (concept is great but needs improvement)
2) Greater use of lightweight materials, weight should start declining (at least marginally) on new models
3) LSD
4) More rear seat room. Car should be able to handle 6 footers with comfort.
For me? i think they should fix the bug they have with the dynamic stability control. It is a relay going bad or what? Whatever it is..i will be happy if they fix it.
Just a bit of history:
On my e60 04, I got the bug around 512 miles. About 2 weeks after I got the car. Then every 6 months or so
On my e60 06, I got the bug around 2000 miles or so then every 6 months or so
On my e60 08, I got the bug just when the car turned 933 miles. (Today 1/4/08)
I thought by now that bug was fixed. I do not ask much..i just want to spend less time at the dealer.
Is that much asking for an improvement?

Sorry amigo525, but what is the DSC bug? I haven't been following the forum until just recently. Did a search, turned up a ton of DSC posts but didn't see a description of the problem. Lots about how to disable etc.,
Thanks,
Cal

+1
I had soft close on my e38 trunk lid and hate to have to get fingerprints on the trunk lid of my e60 to push it closed
