I have been waiting since college to get my first BMW, and the wait is almost over. Heck, I could have bought a new boat and new truck, SUV or car to pull it for the price of a new 2006 530i. But, you know what, for me the 530i and BMW in general has always been my dream car. It will give me pleasure every day, and that is what life is all about.

If I had not had the Z06 when I purchased, then I might have gone with an E series AMG. And, if I had not had the Z06 when I purchased, then the M5 would have been at, or near, the top of my list had it been out. But, given what I know now, the manual-tranny version would have had to be available before I would have considered the M5 seriously.

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
35 years of them, and everything always falls to hand (and to foot!)
Cheers,
Ray Hull

5-series is my number one dream car. I wish I could buy one within two or three years. 3-series and IS are too small for my taste, although I like both of them, therefore my G35 sedan is the best except E60.

For me, 5 series only - perfect balance/combination of handling and ride quality.
I have no desire to own any other BMW.

Hate to mention this here...but I have always owned MB...This is my first BMW. I went to buy a new MB and happened to notice the 3 series on the lot. after test driving I told the dealer that it was too small and too sporty for me, so he suggested the 5 series. guess what? awesome experience! fell in love and now am addicted
already making plans for my next

It's a "Happy disease" with no cure!

because nothing esle on the street evokes such emotion & passion @ the same time. The 3 & 7 are nice and the 6 is quite tempting but everytime I see the 5 it's almost like seeing a bad woman walk by you, you've just got to turn around to see it twice.
