Hate to mention this here...but I have always owned MB...This is my first BMW. I went to buy a new MB and happened to notice the 3 series on the lot. after test driving I told the dealer that it was too small and too sporty for me, so he suggested the 5 series. guess what? awesome experience! fell in love and now am addicted already making plans for my next 550i European delivery for sure

oh yeah, don't let me forget...same reason nicke60gre mentioned but in the male version
So you finally got rid of the kitchen clock. I always wonder why MB keeps a clock of that size. Is it for the Taxi market?

What is that makes us spend our money on BMW's? I have been waiting since college to get my first BMW, and the wait is almost over. Heck, I could have bought a new boat and new truck, SUV or car to pull it for the price of a new 2006 530i. But, you know what, for me the 530i and BMW in general has always been my dream car. It will give me pleasure every day, and that is what life is all about.

For me its Apple Computers, Nokia phones, Sony TVs and BMW.... all are best at what they do.

I had a BMW motorcycle many years ago, but my interest in cars is relatively recent. Five years ago I test drove a Lexus GS as my brother had just bought an LS. Then I test drove an A6 and felt this was a significant improvement. Finally test drove an 01 530, and my feeling was "wow, this is like the go-kart of my youth!" I bought that car and a year and a half later an 03 M3, and a month ago a 550i. I just love the BMW driving experience, and I'm currently savoring the brute force of the 550's 4.8 liter engine and all of the technology packed into this car. I guess I would say I am a BMW addict. If this trend continues I will be in an e90 M3 in a couple of years.

Because I can drive my Bimmer any way I want to -- fast and sporty or slow and sedate, and can switch from one to the other in a heartbeat. I never want to be without one.

Well put Jim. That's right on the money for me too.

I like bimmers because out of all the sedans it feels closest to a sports car.

I hate soft luxury cars and hate MB, Lexus, etc.

Because, there is no one woman that don't like any of them, especially E60's
True. Owning a BMW is like owning a women. Reliability problem, but it's fun to have it. Also, looks like most women likes BMW. The rest like Mercedes, and some like Jag.
"owning a woman".....

[/quote]It's not a problem; he is referring to an imaginary woman--one from the imaginary set of "some." Most + Rest = 100% So, "some" is the imaginary set of women liking Jags.
