Thumbs up

I realized that under the phone adapter stuff there is a hole on the wall of my glovebox. The hole is on the bottom of the wall closest to the front of the car. I think it's just for air flow and cooling for the phone because I've felt air coming thru there but last time I asked at BMW the guy said a phone adapter plugs in there? Anyone know?

It's a fridge.
And that's not a joke.

Throw a couple of cans of soda in it and they'll stay cool during your trip.
(It has a direct A/C outlet)

If there is a plastic flap which slides up and down, the hole can be covered to stop ventilation of the cavity- it can get too hot and that's not good if a phone sits above it.

Just as a matter of interest,on models fitted with the USB interface, the connectors are situated there so the compartment air vent is deleted.

Also the vent temp is set by the knob in the back of the car. Learnt that after several melted kit kats.
