I used to always like how unique bmw side mirrors looked with that nice blueish tint. When did that disappear?

I'm not entirely sure I know what blueish tint you're speaking of but I'm thinking that the mirror tint went away when they started using the automatic dimming mirrors...

Either way, welcome to the forums cattman -- that's an interesting choice for a first post!

Blue tint here!

I don't think the PASSENGER side mirror is autodim, am I mistaken?

Hmm, seems some have the blue tinted mirrors and some do not.
Let's sort this out:
I do NOT, and I drive a 2005 545iSport.
I believe that perhaps the 6 cylinder models, or maybe just the non-sport models, have the blue tint.

Blue tint mirrors come as standard. If the auto-dimming mirror option is specified depending on the options in each country then the blue tint is removed. I have the auto dimming option, so I don't have the blue tinted mirrors.
