I have done my yearly trip to the south of Spain on my own (wife and kids are traveling by plain) and did this trip of 2100km/1300miles in 16 hours without any trouble, not even a pain in the back or my legs, a first in 10 years. I the E60/61 ! I big help are the Comfort seats and HUD.
Last year I took the Mini and needed three days to recover from the trip.

Third picture is from the viaduct of Millau in France where you drive 270 meters above the ground !

Looking good...

I just returned from a great week in Schotland, doing in total 3500km with about 2000km on the Scottisch twirling roads. Just enjoyed the drive....and ofcourse the surroundings.

See ya in oktober!

Cool pics.
The Sport Seats do also make the trip.

Love the color change of your E61?

Ride on!

The roads in France are the best in Europe, you have to pay toll (150 USD for this trip) to drive on them, but it's worth it.
It is not scary at all to drive over this bridge, because it is a 4-lane highway with high walls, so you don't see how high you are.
Here is a better picture:

The 5er is just an awesome cruiser, especially the diesels -- i.e. lots of driving, not much stopping

Cools pics, thanks for sharing.

See you at the E60.NET European Meet...

Mrs. MacSid and I just did Scotland in our 530d as well ... +1 on the twisties in the western highlands ; +1 on the scenery and a definite +1 on the cruising capabilities of our diesels - our 12-day, 1,700km jaunt was done on just under 2 tanks of the dark stuff (no comments on the consumption of the dark stuff that came in pint glasses )

I've come back from holiday straight into the challenges of a new job, but will post some of our Scotland pics soon ... perhaps even before we see you all in K?ln
