Use mine all the time. There are any number of aspects of the e60 that I could complain about but the sun shades ain't one of them.

Replacing the sunshade:
remove the car door panel and trim around the window
unclip the sun shade and remove
insert new sunshade.

That's way we don't close these threads. 
There's always someone new who comes along who needs the information. We're thinking about putting up a warning though that you may not get a response from a particular poster. Most don't even look at the dates.

No worries about the date. Just fun to find the oldest one I have ever seen.
I have done this sunshade work. Moved them from one car to another. Once the door card is open and window trim removed they slide out.

Heck no man, there's a lot of valuable information out there, it's why most forums keep threads open forever. The ones I do get a laugh out of though are the for sale threads that get an inquiry 6 years after they're posted.
