Use my rear sunshade whenever I have to leave the car parked in the sun. My 2 sons love the side shades when driving on a sunny day, which is about all the time here in San Diego.
Keeps the car cooler, cuts down on glare, lessens fading, etc.
I Wouldn't order a car without them....

I use mine pretty much all the time too. They keep the car cooler plus, for those of us who live at more northern latitudes, i find that they do a great job in keeping the sun from dazzling my passengers and me - especially in spring and autumn/fall, when it tends to almost always be blazing away low on the horizon.

Just to add on to this, I have received many compliments on those from co-workers. They always say: That is so cool, I wished my car came with those. And they always comment on those aftermarket cheap sunshades that stick to the window with cup-sucking plastics.
Besides, it add an extra button to your car, I remember the impression from another E60 member (He did not have the sunshades) when he saw that: Where did you get that button from??

My biggest complaint is when you want to drive with the windows down and the shade pops out of the hooks and scares the hell out of you...
I always have them up for privacy and cool look with tints reasons but when my kids are in the car and want a better view out they take them off the hooks and just let them go. That is one startling sound...

U kidding me? I use them all the time and I don't think I can own a sedan w/o them anymore. They are useful, especially if you live in a warm place or if you have kids (As mentioned on the previous post)

I leave them up all the times as my kids like them. I also told by my co-workers that BENZ's rear side shades are power not manual !
As Rudy mentioned, need to lower the side shades when the rear side windows are down. Otherwise, the shades would pop out of the hookers very easily and make a big "bang" noise !!!!
