Does every car have those pull up sun-shades in the back seat windows? If so who uses those and why? Are they only good for the back seat passengers to keep the sun out?

And the automatic rear sunshield? That came on mine ( did not order mine) and have never used it and I live on the second sunniest place in the world-whats the deal-who uses this and why? To me it just hinders my ability to keep an eye on the cars in the back checking for coppers

Got a kid (or grandkid) in a car seat? If so, you gotta have sunshades.

I almost forgot to mention that the rear sunshade is really good for shielding the headlights of raised pick-up trucks!

U kidding me? I use them all the time and I don't think I can own a sedan w/o them anymore. They are useful, especially if you live in a warm place or if you have kids (As mentioned on the previous post)

Strange question, but yeah mine are all up always, 24/7. And I have tint too on all 7 windows. It helps keep the interior a bit cooler, keeps the rear to max privacy, plus it just looks damn good on black cars

I don't even live in a sunny climate (except for summer months) but I leave them up all the time too. It helps keep the car cooler and adds some privacy. You get used to the rear one being up and learn to see past it when needed to identify cops, etc.

I am driving my third BMW with sun shades and also believe their a must have option. Mine are always up except when the car is being washed. The shades absolutly help keep the car cooler including my Dachschund pup who hates having the sun on her.

I do have one complaint though, my rear shade rattles on very rough roads or going over RR tracks, anyone else have this problem?

A similar thread was started a long time ago, but it was actually focused on the usefulness of these instead. Could not find it though.

My biggest complaint is when you want to drive with the windows down and the shade pops out of the hooks and scares the hell out of you...

I use the back 1s all the time so the car dont get too hot inside when I park outside.
and as for the side I wish I got them. I have 2 babys and need the side sunshades so I had to get the addon 1s from mothercare which look naff but still need them. For my next car I will 100% get them.
