What engine oil do you use?

About to run out to the store and change buy some oil for my car. What do you use for your car? BMW oil or just plain Castro synthetic?

Mobil 1 0W-40 meets or exceeds the requirements of:
API SN/SM/SL/SJ
ACEA A3/B3, A3/B4
Nissan GT-R

Mobil 1 0W-40 is of the following builders approval:
MB-Approval 229.3
MB-Approval 229.5
BMW LONGLIFE OIL 01
VW 502 00
VW 505 00
PORSCHE A40

Mobil 1 0W-40 is of the following quality level:
OPEL Long Life Service Fill GM-LL-A-025
OPEL Diesel Service Fill GM-LL-B-025
SAAB
FIAT FIAT 9.55535 ? M2

Castrol Edge fully syn 5w 30 is top notch and what bmw recommend - If its an e60 530d put in the full 8 litres

Exactly. I think it used to be Castrol and BMW recently changed it... anyway, if you're using Penzoil or something else you arent using the right stuff. What it will do I dont know but I am assuming there are certain protections built into the Mobil1 0w-40... And the Mobil1 actually lists BMW on the back of the bottle.
