Default What to do with broken CCC?

Just bought an '06 M5. The previous owner had replaced what I believe is referred to as the CCC- it's the in dash CD / nav DVD box (see pic). This is the original unit which apparently died.

I really don't want this thing taking up space in my garage but hate to just pitch it either. Are they worth anything as a core? If not, is there some place that recycles these? My only thought has been a computer recycling store but we don't have one nearby.

Thanks,
Brock

what is wrong with it, did the owner state the reason for the failure? Usually places won't give you anything for it unless you have bought a replacement from them (in terms of core) you can always throw it out, or I mean if it is just taking up space in the garage, and you don't need it, i could use it and tinker around with it in hopes of repair. i've always wanted to get a CCC upgrade into my 05'er Mask.

if it is truly broken, i encourage you to turn it in to an 'electronics recycler' for proper disposal. the home depot near me does it about once per month.

if it doesn't work, it won't be worth anything to anyone in the BMW world.

Thank you both. Bymer, you're welcome to it for shipping and gas money. I don't know what the error was. PM me if you want to take a chance on it.

I'll otherwise check with Home Depot.

Thanks,
Brock

And if he doesn't let me know, I will do the same, I'll bench test it and fix it.
