Seriously considered M3 or a Lincoln Navigator. I already have a 4 door Mercedes and another 4 door Accord. So I really wanted a 2 door (M3) or an SUV (Navigator). But in the end I chose another 4 door sedan, just couldn't resist the E60

Thought about the Z4 3.0i than i looked at the 330i because well i needed more space, than i realised that an M3 would be possible (financiary) but then i thought that an M3 would eat alot and won't have the practicality of the 5. Then i started to look at a powerfull 5 that is cheaper to run than the m3 and i realised that the 535d is in the price range of an m3 and it's a bigger car...4 doors, bigger boot. Now after i bought the 535d i feel like i should have bought the m3 CP. LOL Maybe that's because i love the m3....maybe the next car will be the E9X M3...dunno...........sooooooooooo in the end i finnaly bought the M5 diesel.

My Ride: 05 Silver Grey 523i | Step, M-Kit, M5 Trunk Finisher, 19" ACS Type IV Wheels, Goodyear F1 GS-D3 245/35/19, Grey Dakota Leather, Maple Wood Sycamore Anthracite, Advanced Climate Control, Electric rear sunblind, Electric folding mirrors with automatic anti-dazzle, Lights package, PDC, Rain sensor, Business Radio, CD Changer
While I was waiting to pick up my E46 in the dealership, a new Black E90 comes in and I am sold to it. Talked to my sales consultant and asked him to arrange a test drive of the E90. At that moment, I was deciding between a 320i and a 330i. The 325i is such a bad deal I won't even bother to look at it. I am always a "3er" guy, so basically when the new E90 come out, it is really a matter of time before I am going to get one. But I always like the 5, from the E34 to E39 to the latest E60, I always want to get one, but seems like the 5 is too big and a little bit too mature for me.
Since the new engine came out for the E60, I am very eager to test it even though I am not thinking to get one at that time. My sales consultant let me test drove the E60 523i on the same day I tested the E90 330i. I am so impressed with the handling, performance and the better quality of the 523i. The driving experience is so different than the 330i. I feel bored with the 330, not much difference with the E46. After test driving the 523i for 30 secs, (for our HK friends, after I make the very first left turn after leaving the TKW showroom), I asked the sales to shut up (telling me over and over how good a BMW is) and talk about price/trade-in.
So I ended up with the most expensive birthday present I ever bought for myself.

My Ride: 525d, Silver Grey, Beige Leather, PDC, Sun Blinds
On Order LCI 523iA, Jet Black, Beige Leather, Heated Seats, Rear Sun Blinds, Bluetooth, M Steering Wheel
I had a few criteria that only the E60 seemed to fit: in order of importance:
1) Rear Wheel Drive
2) Diesel
3) Large boot
4) Not a MB
= e60

My Ride: Black 520i, Black leather interior, Active Steering, DSC, PDC, Ornamental grille, Audio Aux Input
i looked at:
(1) E240 - crap & steering is very numb around the centre
(2) E90 325 - but darn small & the rear looks like a Honda Civic
(3) Z4 2.5 - but hated the harsh ride
(4) E200 - even worse crap - wheezing Kompressor engine & very rough
(5) VW phaeton - large Golf & handles like a barge
