I would agree with this and I would accuse other manufacturer's of doing this. I saw a brand new 535xi today and looked at the wheels and about lost my lunch.
I could only imagine that most buyers are too cheap to spend the extra money to upgrade. I did not like even the stock wheels this past years models offered without the sport package. This will come to bite BMW in the ass if they push it too hard. I think that BMW marketing is spending too much time looking at this forum and not paying enough attention to the 'average' BMW customer. The folks on this board are willing to spend a few more bucks for their cars. Most are not.

I'm trying to figure out why BMW insist on putting the crappy RF on a $60K + luxury sport sedan. Porsche gets it as they put Michelin PS2s on their vehicles.
