so im driving to work this morning at 3am with the windows down at about 40 mph.crusin. all of a sudden here a tire noise and feel it as it goes around and around. dammit! sure enough a ugly bolt screw in my tire. So i take it to the local tire shop who insisted on patching it and not plugging it. 20 bux.these guys typically do bigigs and passanger cars so there rough on wheels. i watched him the whole time but the bastard scrached the outside lip of my stock sport wheel like a mofo. didnt notice till i got home. i noticed they were having trouble removing the tire from the bead and had to use an pry bar in conjunction with the machine. ugh! so i get that done and since it was nice wanted to change my oil. put some mobil one 0w-40 in and the mann oil fitler i bought off amazon. what do u know the oil filter is way to big. same shape just longer and wider. wtf. this is after i drained oil and filled it with new oil. so i had to put old fitler back in and drive to autozone and get a filter there. what the fuck the amazon listing said e60 bmw and its the wrong shit

That sounds like a pretty ugly night and day ... but to put it in perspective, at least you don't hold political office in Egypt.

Next week is bound to improve for you

i cringe going to tire shops...and avoid the smaller shops that dont do low profile tires.

so far discount tire seems ok to me. they have a touchless machine.

at a small shop, getting a flat fixed, i watched a guy lathe the edge of my rim once, on a truck wheel of all things, which is easy to change tires.

and the oil filters are different between engine types. what part number did you get?

HU 925/4 was the mann filter. was made in mexioc the stp i hadda settle for was at least made in germany I never had a wheel scrached like that from a wheel machine. it looks like the arm grabbed the lip and spun the wheel and just shreded the paint. looks like he nicked a lil paint from the air gun taken the lugs off too. i dunno i clean them all the time and that shit was never there. random pic from the tire shop

ALWAYS tell them to unmount from the rear!!!!! Put the face down on the machine and allow the polycarbon to attach to the outer lip. Scratches happen but never let them happen on the outer lip if you put it face down!
