change to touch screen nav. faster idrive processor.

Spend an hour using a Honda nav and then rethink your choices in the current nav. It sucks. big time.

I am with you all the way, although I am mostly OK With the speed of the iDrive. Touch would be nice--while keeping the joy stick too.

Using iDrive to enter an address is killing me....
Acura has been using touch screen on NAV for so many years..
LCD screen is also too small and not showing all the street name even if you zoom all the way in.

I always have this dream before there is NAV on the market. One day, I can see the police car's moving on a monitor (no lcd that time) while I am driving. And we are half way there, I hope sometime in the future, we can pin point all the police cars on our NAV system.

How about nav as default screen and being able to control climate and entertainment in the assistant window, that way we wouldnt have to leave the nav do your business and come back to it.

On my Wife's X5 (no iDrive), we can't control the screens displayed on split-screen well enough. For example, one can't show FM and onboard simultaneously. The nav screen is not hooded; thus, can't be seen well enough when the sun is in the wrong position.
