Z4 M Coupe!
This actually her best ! But too small - 2 seater. So untill we want a 3rd car, it has no place in our home.

I thought Ronald was looking for a second-hand car, relatively cheap to run and has anyway eliminated the Z4 because he needs a minimum of three seats...

Ah - finally I can use this smily! The joys of flaming!

Edit: Pipped to the post by LowOrbit. Need to type faster!

My view is: a) overpriced for what it is b) not very practical (have you seen the boot? and the rear seats are OK for small kids, but not for adults) c) it may be better now, but Cooper/Cooper S were described to me as unreliable mechanically by a friend who works at BMW, so I'm kind of prejudiced...

I would go for the MINI Cooper S and that is because my wife also has one and it is one heck of a car to drive.
Like all the brochures say: it is like driving a cart. Such a responsive steering wheel, like you are racing through the curves. And then the acceleration: 163 hp for a "small" car like that .
Just to let you know: my wife drove a VW Beetle 1.9 Tdi before the MINI and the difference is fenomenal .
I also like the interior with those clocks, central odometer,...

So my list of interest should be:

1. MINI Cooper S (and don't forget to buy that S ).
2. Audi A3 2.0 TDI chipped
3. BMW 120d (with some nice wheels, stock car is... so stock
4. BMW 320d
5. (old) A4

Hope you are something with my opinion . Keep us up to date

PS: forget to mention, if you are interested in some pics and some comments about our MINI i would recommend you this site http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=24393&st=0

If it's a 2nd car, my list would be like this:

1. BMW 120d
2. Audi A3 2.0 TDI (DSG rocks!)
3. MINI Cooper S
4. BMW 320d
5. A4 2,5TDI - old one... The 2,5 TDI engine is not a good engine :S
