My Ride: 545i 2004, SMG, Sport, Nav, Logic-7, Bluetooth phone retrofit
Air that flows through the car seems to dump out through the trunk. So long as "Recirc" is off, that means the trunk effectively gets some heat or A/C. Doesn't happen if you or the car has shut the vents. From empirical observation.
