hi could any 1 tell me how to have welcome lights fitted to my e60 its not the lci facelift model .Iv been told by the bmw dealer that i need to upgrade the lighting control unit to the facelift model and then upgrade the software at the same time and it should work because the upgraded lighting unit has the same model number has the the car .I alo need to know if its possible to retrofit door handle puddle lights just hope some 1 can help me thankz :

I think the dealer is right... the module and the software need to be upgraded and then coded or programmed... there are members here with the software and I am sure someone else will chime in.

With regards to the door handle puddle lights... dont you have them on your mirrors? I havent seen any e60's (I dont think I have anyway) with door handle lights. I am sure anything is possible, but at what cost and would it be worth it?

Upgrading to LM2 to enable welcome light is correct.

As for door handle light, that's not an option E60 ever came with. There is a member or two that have attempted this, but I don't believe there's actually a detailed DIY made.
