Default Weird drainage/wont sleep problem

Hi,

I'm experiencing battery drainage and it's appearing a PT-CAN communication fault and errors of cruise control failure on the CIC screen as soon as i turn on the ignition!

With teh window led test, i can check that the windows block led and the gear stalk led wont go out, the car simply won't go to sleep mode.

If i take out the big fuse 7 on passenger fuse box it will sleep as a baby as expected in the 2min time.

There is no issue with the cruise control stalk itself, already tested and replaced that just to be sure, and it's everything ok.

Need to resolve this ASAP because now everytime i get out of the car, i have to take out the fuse 7 so that it wont kill my battery because it wont sleep. :/ I feel ridiculous doing this on a car like this

Already got a new MPM and Battery IBS and it's still a no go.. also got a used SGM but still didnt had the time to program it to the car..

Does someone know the steps to code or program it using winkfp or toolset?

and

Does someone know what these symptons may be indicating?

Thanks for looking!

When i discover the issues culprit will also share here for future owners with this same problem!

best regards

Try to disconnect the IBS cable from the battery negative terminal , and see if that stops the battery drain

I actually timed how long it takes for the car to go into sleep mode and every time my car took exactly 15 minutes ..

Hi H F,

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately already did that and even exchanged the IBS cable and it's a no go

Any more idea?

Thanks!

Best regards

If you can swing it, I would recommend trying to get a copy of DIS or ISTA to run the energy diagnosis to see what is preventing the sleep mode.
