That's what I'm saying. I have read people state the badge on the vehicle says one weight but it weighs significantly less. I want to weigh my car. Where can I find a Place to weigh it?

The weight of the car is measured with all fluids and a full tank of fuel. No other objects or people on board. Just a bit less than 3800# The rating you see in the door (5,000) is the is the chassis maximum gross weight capacity with a loaded trunk (boot) and five people.

the scale weight of a truck might be 10,000 but it's gross combined weight (load and truck capacity might be 16,000 Lb's.

Who cares, the weight on the title usually depicts the state registration fees, so the lower the number the better
Honestly, the title doesn't lie... they want your $ lol
