Re: fuel tank - I think there's two halves either side of the transmission/rear axle- which should keep weight relatively central

BTW intertia is a function of mass and not weight.
Mass tells us how many protons and neutons an object has and does not change when accelerated.
Weight is the common name given to the resulting force when a mass is accelerated eg by the acceleration due to gravity.
