Pretty interesting, I actually got certified slips from the two places I used. When I accounted for the golf clubs, the 4 gallons of missing gas, and assorted junk, the car was 3809 lbs curb weight. This includes wheels and tires that are 56 lbs lighter than the OEM's, so with them it would have been 3865 lbs.
The 'official' curb weight is 3803 lbs, so looks like I've got 62 lbs of options.

Is that famous BMW 50/50 weight distribution with or without a full tank of gas? Guess it's 51/49 for the 545 so maybe you need to leave the clubs and a case of beer in the trunk

You guys are absolutely correct - I was using water weight. From some obscure website, Premium unleaded is about 6.35 lbs per gallon - lower octane can go to 6.2 lbs per gallon, so I'll take 7 lbs off.
