I can't tell the difference - Anyone know how it activates i.e. what speed it works at?

I think it is supposed to mitigate the dive forward and the rock backwards. I have never really felt the dive with the SP or maybe I just don't notice what seems to be normal.

I think the whole idea is to not feel it...if you could shut it off and turn it back on you'd probably notice it.

My guess is they use the same technolgy as Dynamic Drive or Active suspension to prevent the dive similar to preventing body roll.

Didn't Infiniti have this on there car about 10 years ago? I remember the ads with Jonathan Pryce panting in a black suit demonstrating how it works on a white board.

Hmm...I think BMW has made considerable refinements already in their braking system. I remember my old 5 series (one before E39) jerks noticeably before coming to a full stop. Then in my old 7 (E38), I noticed improvements but still could feel a slight jerk. Now with this new E60 (w/o the above technology), the jerk is almost completely gone. I'd have to say good job BMW !
