If your out of warantee I guess you can buy them and fit them yourself.

I have exactly the same problem on my steering wheel and the window switch panel too.
Sadly, the leather on the wheel has gone shiny like yours

For you guys in the US / Canada. Do you think BMW would cover a new steering wheel under warranty because the leather is worn? I have the same issue, but I thought that would be considered "wear & tear" like tires...
I don't have a pic of my steering wheel, but it looks very thin on top and you can almost see finger marks...
Thoughts?

I have seen a lot of E60's as "used cars" at various BMW dealers with the same same "shit".
Actually the whole dash looks and feels cheap, even in the LCI.
I had my car in for service for a steering wheel "chirping" sound, they fixed that with some "oil"!
Also a dashboard cornice rattles (the small one left to the steering wheel) in my car.
Shame on you BMW.
