Damn C's you beat me too it! haha.

I was at the dealership yesterday for service and I saw a heavily modded white E90 M3 drive out. We're talking SLAMMED to the ground, very aggressive offsets, very LOUD, exhaust, etc. I don't think he had a problem and honestly I don't think the techs mind working on his car, especially when they have to do the routine test drive

use common sense man

they have to prove an aftermarket part cause something to fail in order to void any warranty period

there are very strict laws about this, google it, educated yourself and make sure you know what you are talking about

This is so not true-everyone assumes the mag laws state this but if you read them they do not even come close. They are entitled and probably correct for voiding a warranty on something that puts excess wear due to having wheels and tires not in spec with that car. Now voiding it due to having wheels that are as light as stock with a stock size, either 18s or 19s then no, this would be wrong and they cannot deny a claim. But if you replace stock equipment with non-stock material and you do not use items that are within parameters stock uses, then yes suspension, brakes, etc can be denied and should depending on what is wrong. If you wear your pads out more cause your wheels are big and heavy then why should bmw pay for this? Its not perfect-why should bmw pay for someone with a lead foot v. a non-lead foot wearing out breaks-I understand its not perfect.

Also why should bmw be responsible for struts that have increase load put on them, or when people use spacers, putting increase load on parts-you probably will be denied coverage for suspension when you replace your wheels-but aside from that they cannot and will not void any other part.

For example if you put an open air intake into an engine and you have any engine problems, they are in their right for voiding the warranty if the problem is not clearly unrelated
