Arizona? If so, be sure to drive the new 5 up those winding roads between Phoenix and Globe.

I was one of the few that liked the new styling from the start. The front end looks lower, I liked the flamed surfaced side, and like the look and bigger size of the truck(can now hold four golf bags). I liked the bigger interior, especially in the back. I like Idrive which enables me to customize more things without going to the dealer. I love the SMG, which is what made me look at the 545 vs. the 530 in the first place. I figured if I was going to be paddle shifting I wanted more power. Also the 545 w/sports package has the staggard wheel set up with 275's at the rear which look great. Also the active steering and dynamic drive suspension make the car feel about 500 lbs lighter.
I rationalized the extra cost by asking myself how much more per week would you pay to be driving the 545 over the 530 and then looked at the difference in the monthly lease price.

Yep, the suguaro cactus is the give away. It's the only place in the world that they grow. BTW, there are a lot of great drives in Arizona. The route from Prescott to Jerome is perhaps one of the most photographed and driven by car magazine representatives testing new models.

We never even drove the 545i before we decided to purchase!

Would've been perfectly content with the power of the 530i but once we had finished adding all the options we wanted, we were looking right square at the base price of a 545i. Since many of the options we wanted were standard with the 545i we decided to not compromise and get absolutely every option we wanted including the 4.4L V8.

Took delivery Wednesday. The car is simply magnificent! Easily worth every dime. The attention to detail on this car is incredible!

Welcome! My thoughts exactly on pricing. I am at around 8,000 miles on my 545, and I love it.
