waring lamp problem
hi people,
i am now a proud owner of a dec2005 bmw 520d.
everything seems fine apart from a warning message i get about "Increased Battery Discharge".
and also when i put in the key there's a warning lamp coming on i'll try to describe it. it shows the shape of the car on a jack. like it's being lifted or something
where can i find a list of the warning lamps? i dont have any manuals. dont ask why.
thanks alot

could be a service warning, go into "I" menu by pressing the controller and select the service menu, also from there you can check the warning messeages in "check controll messages"
As above go into iDrive and it will tell you the full message. The icon means "Service" to tell you to go to a BMW dealer and get the error checked out. It could be anything from a battery starting to fail to one of the cars modules not going to sleep properly.

Do you have like iPod and/or phone charger hooked up?
no but apparently the previous owner had a phone stand on the dashboard and now it's not there. there's a wire hanging out from the dashboard.
could that be affecting it? i dont know where' tis connected to
