Thumbs up

I'm recently going to order a new BMW 530i and have following question.
Didn't anybody have the problem in the winter during snowing problems with xenon lamps which have less temperature than normal lamps and so snow sticks on the surface of the head lamps which is dangerous. The cleaning feature doesn't help as well. I had this problem with my former Mercedes.
But now I'm asking how is with the new E60 BMW. Any experiences?

Been driving the E39 during fairly heavy winter storms in different temperatures (both above and below zero degrees celcius) - and it all worked like a charm - however - during such conditions lighting is almost always reduced, as drifting snow naturally would prevent the light from illuminating the surface.

If the lenses are properly cleaned before one starts driving, and there is no really heavy snowfall with rapidly changing temperatures during the drive, visibility should not represent any problem at all.

So far the xenon lamps on the E60 have worked fine under winter conditions. And if you get into trouble, you'll always be able to switch on the high beam lights in addition - or the front fog lamps - which uses halogen.
