it is just me or is the volume knob on the car just to thin and long .. and it seems pretty tacky too made out of some of rubber .. i often feel like just cuttin it in half .. is there any cover or anythin to change the feel and look of it ?
OK, I looked carefully at my volume/mute knob this morning. I like it fine. And, I think that all topics are fair game. One man's trash is another's treasure. Different strokes for different folks. Live and let live. Etc. Etc. Disrespecting someone's topic is impolite.

I think we should all write in to BMW HQ and ask them to provide an integrated volume knob/cupholder solution.

Guys, just take out the volume knob so your dash looks cleaner

Actually I like the size/shape/feel of the volume knob compared to bigger ones they used to have before. I also like the other stereo buttons (eject, arrows) because they are simple, flat, and almost flush, which makes that whole section of the dash look modern.

Having said that I think there is nothing wrong with posting a topic like this. If I did not like the look, shape or function of something in the E60 I would hope that I can post my opinions on it and ask my E60.net friends' opinions on it too.

OK, but glad that it's not made of plastic like Lexus and everyone else. Next . . .
i would acctually prefer a bigger bulkier plastic knob

So would my Wife!
